With extensive experience in healthcare recruitment, I understand firsthand how critical the right hire is to patient outcomes, operational excellence, and organizational culture. My background includes leading full-cycle recruitment strategies for clinical, administrative, and executive-level roles across complex healthcare environments.
Currently serving as Talent Acquisition Manager at Advanced Correctional Healthcare, Inc., I support staffing initiatives for more than 360 correctional facilities nationwide. I recruit and lead hiring efforts for RNs, LPNs, CNAs, QMHPs, Nurse Practitioners, Travel Nurses, Physicians, and corporate leadership roles. In addition to high-volume recruiting, I manage weekly recruiting strategy meetings, track and report performance metrics, train recruiters and hiring managers, oversee ATS operations, verify licensure and credentials, negotiate compensation, and develop recruitment marketing initiatives.

In this role, I partnered closely with healthcare professionals nationwide, developing strategic outreach initiatives to attract and engage top clinical talent.
I began my recruiting career in the finance industry, leading nationwide recruitment efforts for financial advisors and insurance agents. This experience sharpened my ability to identify high-performing professionals, build meaningful relationships, and manage full-cycle recruitment processes in competitive markets.
Earlier in my career, I worked as a Paralegal — a role that strengthened my attention to detail, documentation accuracy, compliance awareness, and organizational discipline. These foundational skills continue to be invaluable in healthcare recruitment, where precision, regulatory understanding, and process integrity are essential.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Paralegal Science from Eastern Kentucky University, where I was also a collegiate cheerleader — an experience that further developed my teamwork, discipline, and commitment to excellence.

Amy Dennis is a registered nurse, author, and advocate for resilience whose career has been defined by compassion, leadership, and service. With more than twenty-five years in healthcare, Amy has dedicated her professional life to caring for patients in some of the most critical and high-pressure environments — from emergency rooms and trauma units to mental health and veterans’ healthcare settings.
Throughout her career, she has served as a Charge Nurse and ER leader across multiple states, bringing steady clinical judgment, calm leadership, and deep empathy to every role. Her experience spans emergency medicine, behavioral health, veterans’ care, and correctional healthcare — equipping her with a well-rounded understanding of patient needs and healthcare systems alike.
Today, Amy combines her clinical expertise with her passion for connecting people to purpose as an RN Recruiting Specialist, helping place qualified nurses where they are needed most. Her firsthand experience at the bedside gives her unique insight into what makes healthcare teams strong and sustainable.
Beyond nursing, Amy is an accomplished author. She has written two inspirational books — Triumph Over Trauma and From Dark Oblivion into Luminous Hope (published under A. Dennis) — both centered on healing, perseverance, and transformation. She is currently working on her first young adult novel, continuing her mission to inspire hope through storytelling.

Erica Balderas-Curtis is a healthcare licensing and compliance professional with more than 15 years of experience supporting healthcare operations and regulatory processes.
As Licensure & Credentialing Programs Manager, Erica oversees multiple state professional licensing, DEA registrations, controlled substance compliance, and ongoing regulatory monitoring for healthcare professionals. She ensures healthcare professionals remain licensed, eligible, and compliant throughout their employment, maintaining audit readiness.
She began her career in medical administration, where she spent a decade as an Office Assistant in private medical practice, gaining firsthand knowledge of healthcare workflows and patient-centered operations. She later joined Advanced Correctional Healthcare, Inc. as a Human Resources Assistant before transitioning fully into licensing and compliance.
Her career path uniquely positions her to combine people-centered leadership with process-driven integrity, ensuring healthcare professionals are supported, patients are protected, and the organization remains strong. Erica strongly believes in taking ownership of the details, holding firm to professional standards, and doing the behind-the scenes work that makes it possible for patients to receive care that meets the highest standards.
Erica’s excellence has been recognized through several honors, including being named one of Peoria WEEK’s 25 Women in Leadership in 2021 and receiving HR Professional of the Year in 2019. She holds bachelor’s degrees in English and Psychology from Texas A&M University–Central Texas.

I’m a people’s first Talent Acquisition professional with over 15 years of experience connecting the right talent with the right opportunities. I started my career in education recruiting and Career Services, where I supported graduate career placements and built employer partnerships to help students launch their careers. That experience shaped my passion for coaching, encouraging, and advocating for others.
From there, I transitioned into logistics recruiting, supporting multi-state, high volume hiring and start-ups, and most recently spent the last few years focused on correctional healthcare recruitment. I’ve led full-cycle recruitment for clinical, corporate, and executive-level roles handling everything from detailed sourcing and headhunting to phone screenings, video interviews, in-person meetings, Career Fairs, Talent scouting, pay negotiations, onboarding, and new hire orientations.
I’ve represented organizations at career fairs and conferences, participated in training initiatives, and partnered closely with leadership to ensure hiring strategies support business goals. At my core, I genuinely enjoy building relationships and creating a positive, seamless candidate experience.
Fun fact growing up, I wanted to be an entertainer: a singer, talk show host, or news reporter. I’ve always loved communicating, engaging with people, and being in front of an audience. I try to bring that confidence and energy into my everyday life. How I connect with candidates, lead conversations, and represent the organizations I serve means a lot to me.
Outside of work, I love spending time with my family, all genres of music, and creating meaningful experiences. I believe the same intentionality I bring to my personal life is what makes me effective in my professional life. You only get one!
